Going through the security checkpoint

Security checkpoints allow us to verify the absence of prohibited items in the cabin and ensure the safety of all passengers. They are required for access to the boarding hall and the plane. Follow our tips to save time during baggage inspection!

How does the security checkpoint work?

Contrôle de sûreté

Keep your boarding pass within easy reach: you will have to show it to the checkpoint agent.

Place your personal items in the available trays, separated from your hand baggage:

  • Your accessories

Belts, coats, jackets, hats, scarves, etc.

  • Liquids, gels and aerosols smaller than 100 ml/3.4 oz

In one closed clear plastic bag.

  • Your electronic devices

Cameras, laptops taken out of their bags, telephones, etc.

  • Your metal objects

Keys, coins, belts, etc.

  • Any other object indicated by a checkpoint agent

Shoes, etc.

The checkpoint agents will be there to guide you. Please follow their instructions and pass under the checkpoint security scanner. Please note: in accordance with current regulations, checkpoint agents can perform random searches (baggage or body search).

Wait times can be long at the security checkpoint. For greater peace of mind, try to arrive early at the airport.

Prohibited objects in the cabin

Certain items are prohibited in the cabin, including:

  • knives and all sharp-edged, blunt, metallic or non-metallic objects that could be used as weapons (nail clippers, razor blades, etc.),
  • firearms,
  • cartridges and ammunition for hunting and sporting weapons,
  • perfumes and liquids in containers larger than 100 ml/3.4 oz,
  • aerosols for cosmetic use in containers larger than 100 ml/3.4 oz.

Please note: all prohibited objects must be handed over to the checkpoint agent to be destroyed.

Liquids, gels, pastes, creams

Liquids, gels, creams and pastes in small quantities are allowed in the cabin:

  • in containers of 100 ml / 3.4 oz max each,
  • they must be placed in one clear plastic bag with a maximum volume of 1 l / 33.8 oz,
  • 1 single bag per person is permitted.
